Welcome to The Wood Pile

Greetings from the Shire. This is #1 in a newsletter that collects thoughts and things from our studio and beyond.

Follow along and bring your friends. We’re off on a brand new adventure as Pook.

Al and Jon have teamed up much like a supergroup from the 1970s without the spurious hangers-on and pharmecutical habits.

Check out our brand new new website. We’ve been experimenting with svgs and geeky things like that.

We’ve been working on the website for what feels like a billion years in between working out what we are and doing paid work. As a result we have missed two perfect dates for launch.

It’s built using Kirby and good ol’ HTML and CSS and we’re pretty proud of it.

Have you seen this?

We are loving these new Royal Mail Myths and Legends stamp collection designs by Adam Simpson. He’s @adam_simpson on Instagram so give him a follow.

We’re obsessed with English Folk and Myths as you can probably tell from our new logo. Pook is a little shy but hopefully you will see more of him in the future.

What's going on in the Studio? (Other than doing awesome work for our clients of course 😜)

Megamoshpoppers Turnstile’s new(ish) album Never Enough is getting us through the work this week.

Mystery Quest is easily the best thing on YouTube apart from this video demonstrating the awesomeness of pigeons. Yeah, we like pigeons ok?

We’re playing all kinds of two player card games at the moment. All research honest. We've got Radlands, Lost Cities, Sail and Schotten Totten to plough through. Why? Watch this space Pook-fans!
